How do I know the radiologists are qualified?
Every radiologist on AfyaRad is verified and licensed before they read a single scan. On top of that, a small number of completed reports are quietly checked by a second radiologist. If something is wrong, we catch it before it reaches the patient. This happens automatically on every report.
Is patient data safe on AfyaRad?
Yes. AfyaRad is built in alignment with the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019. All DICOM files and reports are encrypted in transit and at rest. We are actively working toward formal Data Processor certification. No patient data is ever shared outside the platform.
Does Africa Afya Healthcare own the AfyaRad platform?
