1. General Website and Social Media Disclaimer

The content on africaafya.co.ke and our official social media channels is provided for general information and marketing purposes only and does not constitute professional, medical, or legal advice. Memes, jokes, humorous posts, and casual commentary shared by Africa Afya Healthcare Limited are intended solely for entertainment and engagement. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, or official company statements.

2. AfyaRad Marketplace — Medical and Clinical Disclaimer

AfyaRad Marketplace is a professional teleradiology platform designed exclusively for use by licensed Teleradiologists and authorised Facilities that have completed our onboarding and credentialing process. Patients are not permitted to access or use AfyaRad Marketplace directly.

AfyaRad Marketplace is not a diagnostic device and does not replace independent clinical judgment. All interpretations, findings, and reports produced through AfyaRad Marketplace are the sole professional responsibility of the reporting Teleradiologist, who engages with AfyaRad as an independent contractor under the Teleradiologist Independent Contractor Agreement, not as our employee or agent. AfyaRad does not review, alter, or clinically endorse the content of any report.

AI-assisted features within AfyaRad Marketplace (including smart-phrase suggestions, study-specific templates, and per-user learning) are assistive tools only. They do not independently diagnose any medical condition and do not reduce the Teleradiologist's professional obligation to fully and independently review each study.

AfyaRad's STAT, Urgent, and Routine turnaround tiers are service targets designed to substantially expedite reporting; they are not a substitute for a Facility's own on-site emergency escalation pathway where immediate, in-person clinical intervention is required faster than the applicable turnaround time permits.

3. AfyaRad Community — Educational Content Disclaimer

AfyaRad Community is an educational learning tool, not a clinical platform. Cases displayed on AfyaRad Community are anonymised, de-identified, and presented purely for learning purposes.

Specifically:

  • No case on AfyaRad Community represents an active or pending clinical decision for a real, current patient. Cases are either retrospective examples from the network's own Teleradiologists, fully de-identified before posting, or sourced from already-published academic case reports under permissive open licences.
  • Interpretations submitted by members, including the agree, partial, or disagree assessment against the original finding, are for self-assessment and learning only. They are not validated diagnoses and must never be relied upon in connection with the care of any real patient.
  • Aggregate accuracy statistics shown on a member's profile reflect performance against retrospective teaching cases only and are not a certification or formal assessment of clinical competence.
  • Activity or accuracy on AfyaRad Community does not, by itself, qualify or authorise a member to provide clinical radiology services. Any invitation to apply to AfyaRad's professional Teleradiologist network is subject to the full, separate credentialing process described in our Terms and Conditions.
  • Case attribution and source licensing information is displayed where applicable. We make reasonable efforts to verify the licensing status of externally sourced content but do not guarantee the accuracy of third-party licensing claims.

To the fullest extent permitted by Kenyan law, Africa Afya Healthcare Limited shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website, social media content, AfyaRad Marketplace, or AfyaRad Community. Specific liability terms for Facilities and Teleradiologists are set out in their respective signed onboarding agreements.
