Do you offer teleradiology reporting services?
No. Africa Afya Healthcare now focuses 100 % on AfyaRad, our AI-powered teleradiology software platform. We do not provide radiologist reporting services.
What exactly is AfyaRad?
AfyaRad is a complete teleradiology workflow platform that lets hospitals and radiologists receive, view, report, approve, and securely share studies, all in one system. It includes chief approval, hospital admin portal, KHUID privacy, and PesaPal payments integration.
Who can use AfyaRad?
Licensed radiologists and hospitals/clinics with their own radiologists. Hospital administrators create and manage accounts for their team.
How does a hospital get started?
Contact us → we set up your hospital account → your admin adds radiologists → you start receiving studies immediately. No hardware needed beyond your existing scanners and internet.
Is patient data safe and compliant?
Yes. AfyaRad is fully compliant with Kenya Data Protection Act, HIPAA-ready, and GDPR-ready. We use KHUID (not names), end-to-end encryption, consent logging, audit trails, and role-based access.
Does AfyaRad have AI?
Yes. we have smart tools built right in to make reporting easier.
AI is meant to work with radiologists, not replace them. AfyaRad will learn each radiologists preferred reporting style thus making reporting significantly easier
Do reports need approval?
Yes. Ideally every report requires final digital signature from your designated Chief Radiologist before it can be shared or exported.
How are payments handled?

Yes. AfyaRad is optimised for African networks — images load in seconds even on 3G/4G.
Can we integrate with our existing PACS/RIS/HMIS?
